Last year, I wrote out little sticky notes and stuck them over my work station to help me stay powered. I had 2 book quotes, 2 movie quotes, and 2 song quotes. At each stage of the process I came up with something to fit it that fueled me more. My first (and possibly favorite) is this one:
“You be all you can be.” – The Journey, by Kathryn Lasky
It reminded me to give this story my all, to be all I could be, and to make the story be all it could be.
“If they’re pitching fast, choke up!” – Dandelion Fire, by N. D. Wilson
I love this, even though I don’t have a clue about baseball stuff (though he makes it clear what he’s meaning in the book š ). And when you’re doing NaNoWriMo, they’re always pitching fast.
Keep it up, guys! Let’s push through the week 2 blues and get on to week 3! Almost halfway there (sort of…)! š

I love [that quote from] N. D. Wilson SO MUCH! How does he do that??? It’s a mystery to me, but I love it. If that was a t-shirt… “I need that shirt!” š

You can make your own. Maybe add a few dandelion clip arts for looks? Hmm…
And I don’t know how he does it either, but boy do I wish I did! š
